There was a piece of white paper folded on my seat. I got in and closed the door before I unfolded it. Two words were written in his elegant script.

Be safe.

i hope you know your attack on this roleplay is just decreasing the chances of anyone applying to thecovenroleplay. no one wants to join a roleplay where their members are actively attacking someone from something they did in the past, where players and/or admins can't make mistakes or they're going to be crucified for the rest of their lives. but i guess that's the sort of roleplay thecovenroleplay is ://

Here’s an except from a message I sent Kay (the creator of the Coven) in response to a message she sent me:

I would also like to point out that I am not posting against Nick on behalf of thecovenroleplay. I have never once mentioned thecovenroleplay in any of my posts. I don’t want people to join thecovenroleplay instead of thecovenrpg. I just don’t want people to join thecovenrpg because I don’t want people to have to experience Nick’s admining. If Nick stepped down from being an admin of thecovenrpg and removed all of his influence from the roleplay, hell, I’d even promote thecovenrpg.

Please be aware that my viewpoints are not Jesse’s, Connor’s, or thecovenroleplay’s. I’m doing this for myself and my friends.

I don’t know who’s getting thecovenroleplay involved in this but it’s not me.

This is part of Kay’s reply to my message. I asked her if it was okay if I posted it.

Thank you for pointing out that you weren’t posting for thecovenroleplay, as the way it’s been talked about that is what was happening? It’s just always looked like people from both groups were going at it, and I didn’t want that. That was my mistake.

Hi, Jesse here. I’m a mod for thecovenroleplay and I feel like it’s time I said something.

I don’t endorse putting down thecovenrpg. This is both my public and my private view. I have nothing but respect for Kay and her work, and I know she is a great mod. Nick being a mod for thecovenroleplay is a thing of the past and it belongs in the past.

However it isn’t my place to try and silence someone’s anger. Esther and Lina and many other roleplayers feel like Nick has wronged them and they have good reason to feel this way. The only condolences they’ve been given is a vague apology not even directed at them. They have a right to want an apology where none was offered. They have a right to be angry, to speak about it, to do what they want about the situation. I can’t stop them because it’s gross, it’s wrong, and it is definitely not my place.

you're demeaning yourself by letting the bitterness taking over and posting private conversations to belittle someone. what he did is in the past, and he could've changed, but you're doing even worse thing now and what's your excuse? acting emotionally, without thinking, attacking someone for their past mistakes they acknowledged and apologized for; you're no better than him now than he was then. pay more attention to yourself and less to others, you'll probably be a happier less hateful person

No offense, but I know what I’m talking about here. The proof is all here for your examining, but it seems like you’ve elected to ignore it in favor of appealing to emotions instead of facts. Who’s the emotional one?

I think it’s about time for me to add my part. Considering I was heavily involved in all of this.

Hi, I’m Esther. I played Jackson Cho. The conversation that is linked was the one I had with Nick.

This isn’t about hate. These conversation were saved from months ago. While we could have posted them then, we didn’t. Because we thought the issue would be done with. However, we kept them as evidence. Considering Nick was a repeat offender, we wanted to make sure to have concrete proof. Someone who is truly apologetic would have come to those involved and apologize. He never has. Which is the biggest issue we had. It wasn’t what he did, but how he did it. He snuck behind the players and co-admins’ backs. Yes, we all make mistakes. But we believe he hasn’t realized what his actual mistake was. If you read what he has posted was his side of the story, it makes it sound like he was a victim. Not to say some things were unfair to him, but he in no way was a victim.

This is about informing the rp community about an unfair mod. No one wants to join an rp where they’ll be treated unfairly just because their vision differs from the mods. And in such an underhanded way too. This is online community and all we have is communication. Handling things the way he did— that cut off all communication.

Nick, if you read this, I hope you really have changed. I’m sorry you didn’t like my Jackson. And I’m sorry you felt I didn’t deserve him. However, the rule was that if a character died, you could have another one without applying. Of course, I did this much later and if you had an issue, you should have come to me. I would have gladly officially applied.

If you want to talk, my message box is open. I have contemplated messaging you countless times, but honestly, I’m afraid. I’m afraid you’ll post the conversation and twist my words. Because you already have tried to twist the story, as shown on the covenrpg blog.

You really should work on talking to people. I wouldn’t have minded Jackson being disowned if you had come to me. It would have been an AMAZING plot. No one would have cared about you reopening the covenrpg if you had told the mods involved. Everything is about you going behind people’s backs. It’s about your ego. About your power trip.

Prove us wrong. Please. I would love it if we were.
